During the first day of this excursion from Marrakech you will discover the High Atlas mountains, Ait ben haddou, a camel ride and night in the desert camp.
Our two-day trip from Marrakech to Zagora began early in the morning. When we left the hustle and bustle of the Red City and headed south, crossing the Atlas Mountains. The winding road passing through the Tizi n’Tichka pass will offer us breathtaking panoramas, with green valleys and snow-capped peaks in the background. Along the way, we make stops in picturesque Berber villages and visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a full day of travel, we will finally arrive in Zagora, where a camel caravan will be waiting to take us into the desert. The sunset camel ride through the sand dunes will be an enchanting experience, gradually immersing us in the silence and serenity of the Sahara.
At nightfall, we will reach our Berber camp, located in the heart of the dunes. After sharing a traditional mint tea and a dinner under the stars of tagines and freshly baked bread, we will be invited to join the hosts around the campfire.
