Trip from Marrakech to Fes 3 days
The first day of our trip from Marrakech to Fes takes place through the High Atlas Mountains and Ouarzazate, Skoura Oasis and Dades Valley
We will depart from Marrakech in the morning and head south towards the Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive examples of Moroccan architecture. We will explore the narrow streets of the kasbah and admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding valley.
From Aït Ben Haddou, we will continue our journey towards Ouarzazate, nicknamed the “city of cinema”. We will visit the famous film studios and learn about the rich cinematic history of the region. After lunch, we will head to the Skoura Oasis, a lush palm grove surrounded by imposing palm trees. We will take a leisurely stroll through the oasis and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.
Continuing our journey, we will arrive at the Dades Gorges, a breathtaking natural wonder with imposing red cliffs and spectacular rock formations. We will spend the evening relaxing in our hotel surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the gorge. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Discovery of the Kasbahs, Gorges, Oases and dunes of the Sahara during the second day of this trip from Marrakech to Fes
After a delicious breakfast, we will depart from the Dades Gorges and head to the charming town of Boumalne, known for its picturesque valley and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We will continue our journey to Tinghir, a charming oasis town surrounded by lush palm groves and imposing rock formations. From Tinghir we head to the Todra Gorge, a breathtaking natural wonder with towering red cliffs and spectacular rock formations.
After lunch, we will head to Tinjdad, a charming town rich in history and culture. We will explore the local souks and markets and learn about the traditional crafts and customs of the region. Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Erfoud, a charming town known for its fossil museum and ancient ruins. We’ll stop to explore the museum and learn about the fascinating history of the area.
Finally, we will arrive in Merzouga, a small desert town surrounded by imposing sand dunes. We will take a camel ride through the dunes and admire the sunset over the Sahara Desert. As we ride, we will admire stunning views of the desert landscape and feel the tranquility of the vast expanse of sand. We will spend the night under starry skies in a traditional Berber tent, enjoying dinner and drinks around the campfire.
From desert to the imperial city of Fes during this third day of this trip from Marrakech to Fes
After a leisurely breakfast at the desert camp, we will depart from Merzouga and return to the desert town of Rissani. We will explore the local souks and markets and learn about the traditional crafts and customs of the region. From Rissani we head towards the Ziz Valley, a lush oasis valley surrounded by towering palm groves and spectacular rock formations.
Continuing our journey, we will stop in Azrou, a charming town rich in history and culture. We will visit the local market and admire the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. From Azrou, we will head to Ifrane, a charming town known for its picturesque gardens and stunning architecture. We will explore the charming streets of the city and enjoy the tranquility of this city of peace.
